Fog again hits Punjab, Haryana

CHANDIGARH : Amid overcast conditions, a light fog enveloped parts of Punjab, Haryana and their joint capital Chandigarh here today. Cold waves swept the region last night and today morning, increasing the chill in the air. Overcast conditions are prevailing in various parts of Punjab and Haryana. Amritsar city recorded a minimum temperature of 5.4 degrees Celsius today morning. Patiala and Ludhiana recorded 8.2 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively. City recorded a low of 8.6 degrees Celsius here today0. Light fog prevailed at different places, disrupting road traffic. We expect similar conditions in the next two-three days. Rail and air traffic were also hit. Most trains and flights were behind schedule. In Haryana, Ambala, Hisar and Karnal cities recorded minimum temperatures of 7.3, 8.6 and 8.4 degrees Celsius here today.
