Manpreet Badal office in Chandigarh

CHANDIGAH : As a part of the ongoing Jago Punjab Yatra, Manpreet Badal today, set up his first office at Chandigarh. Speaking at the occasion, he said, “We are in the second week of the yatra and the response so far has been overwhelming. Setting up of offices is necessary to spread our message more effectively. We are now setting up new offices and in the next two weeks we will have an office in every district headquarters.” The office in Chandigarh has been set up at MLA Flat No. 9 in Sector 3. The new office was inaugurated by Manpreet’s father, Gurdas Badal.
At the occasion, five representatives from each of the 117 constituencies had assembled. “The gathering was called to open the office and to thank the people for the support they showed during the Nov 14 pledge and the ensuing Yatra. The first phase of Yatra will culminate at Muktsar with a big public meeting at the holy occasion of Maghi Mela,” said Manpreet.
Gurdeep Singh, sarpanch of Todarpur village said, “More than Manpreet, we are expressing are solidarity towards the principles he is espousing.” Noted Punjabi writer and poet, Professor Teja Singh Tiwana spoke on the occasion. “ I am already in my 80s and it has been painful to see Punjab’s descent in the last few decades. I hope to see the change in my living time and that is why I extend my full support to Manpreet’s movement.”
Manpreet said that as Yatra moves forward, he would be regularly assessing its goals. “As I said earlier, it is not a personal battle. The idea is to wake up Punjab and make it aware of the miserable condition it is in today. This message has to go across very strongly. As a part of yatra we would now be organising nukkar meets, wherein people will come together and share their views about how we can make the yatra more effective. The yatra is a democratic initiative and we need views of all the people." Abhey Singh Sandhu nephew of Sheed-e-Azam S. Bhagat Singh, S. Manjinder Singh Kang MLA, S. Jagbir Singh Brar MLA, S.
