MCM DAV College organized a book exhibition on Women Empowerment

CHANDIGARH : The Library Department of MCM DAV College organized a book exhibition on Women Empowerment to educate the students about the importance of equality in gender and to stimulate them to empower themselves in order to meet the challenges of the society today. The library showcased a comprehensive selection of books which covered the academic, social, cultural and economic issues concerning the impowerment of women and offered to the students a detailed analysis of the pertinence of the issue. Students were also motivated to initiate research in the area as it is not only of academic value but also a revaluation most important for the social setup.
The Principal of the college Dr. Puneet Bedi congratulated the library department on this significant initiative and asserted that for the development of any society the empowerment of women is not only a fundamental prerequisite but also an essential ingredient. Dr. Bedi encouraged the students to read the books on the issue and contribute to the same by their self development and empowerment.
