YOUTH AKALI DAL TO LAUNCH WAR AGAINST SOCIAL EVILS-MAJITHIA

CHANDIGARH : Bikram Singh Majithia Patron Youth Akali Dal today gave a clarion call to youth akali dal cadre to launch a concerted war to free youth from social evils of drug addiction besides motivating them to launch a movement against female infanticide.He also gave a call to expose the complicity of Gandhi family in the biggest ever financial scams.
Addressing a party meeting that turned into a mammoth gathering due to unprecedented enthusiasm of youth cadre from all parts of the state, Majithia said that the Shiromani Akali Dal since its inception 90 years ago had fought numerous battles against social evils and in this 21st century this battle was to save the youth of Punjab going into oblivion. He said that it was Akali Dal that has stood for Punjab and Punjabiat and would continue to focus the campaign on this.
Giving a call to Youth Akali Dal cadre to take the message against drug addiction to every village of Punjab, Majithia said that fighting against social evils was more important for youth akali dal than launching political battles. He said that he would personally supervise this campaign and from village level committees to district committees he would workout a detailed campaign against social evils. He said that youth akali dal was planning a interactive website that would give the details of campaign besides upload the videos of drug de-addiction functions throughout the state.
Majithia said that organisational set up Youth Akali Dal would be announced by January and YAD has already started a massive enrolment drive. He said that Sukhbir Singh Badal President SAD was committed to give due representation to the youth in every elected body of the state. He said that Sukhbir Singh Badal gave youth highest ever representation in Panchayat Samitis, Zila Parishads, Block Samities, President Municipal Committee, Mayors, Advisory committees and while nominating Chairman and Vice Chairman of various Boards and Corporations youth cadre has got the maximum representation. He said that he would request SAD President that for ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections youth should get more than 33 percent seats and dedicated workers at grass root level should be rewarded for their work.
Launchingh the campaign of SAD, Majithia said that the campaign would be focussed on two slogans, “ Punjab, Punjabi ate Punjabiat Kushal, Youth Akali Dal de Naal” and “ Youth Akali Dal da eho Nara Khushal hove Punjab Sara”.
Majithia said that it was S. Parkash Singh Badal Chief Minister who focussed on social security schemes like Shagun Scheme, Atta Dal Scheme and free power to the farm sector whereas congress party is busy in organising Inqlab Yatra against non issues. He said that Inqlab was needed to expose the complicity of Gandhi family in the scams.
Launching a frontal attack on Nehru-Gandhi family for looting the hard earned money of tax payers through various scams Majithia described Gandhi family as fountain head of scams. He said that this family has perfected the art of looting the treasury of nation right from Nehru era, pushing scam money to foreign banks and then getting a clean chit through “Congress Bureau of Investigation (CBI)”. He said that Mundra and Jeep purchase scam during Nehru era were pushed under the carpet by the CBI and in Bofors scam Gandhi family secured the clean chit from CBI for Quatrochhi so that its links to 10 Janpath may not create problem and now this 2 G scam was also being handed over to CBI to save the skin of Gandhi family.
Describing Manpreet Singh Badal a traitor to the society Majithia said that Manpreet got elected promising subsidy to the farmers and the poors, as a minister opposed the subsidy, resigned on this issue but got a lion’s share in the subsidy meant for poor farmers. He said that this exposes the duplicity in the character of Manpreet. He said that Jago Yatra was not required for Punjab as people of Punjab were already awakened regarding his façade and electorate would make him sleep for rest.
Majithia also announced the schedule of District level meeting to be started from December 11, 2010. He said that district would be held in Bathinda on 11th at 10.30 am and at Mansa at 1.00 the same day. At Mohali meeting would be held on 14th December at 11.00 am and at Ropar at 2.00 pm the same day. On 16th December meeting would be held at Sangrur at 11.00 am and at Barnala at 1.30 pm the same day. On 18th December meeting would beld at TarnTaran at 2.30 pm. On 21st December meeting would held at Mukatsar at 11.00 am and at Faridkot at 2.00 pm the same day.
